OMG! The OED can be your BFF!

The Oxford English Dictionary (the OED), one of the most distinguished, prestigious works in English, has chosen to add several online abbreviations to its lexicon.LOL, OMG, BFF, IMHO, and TMI have all been added to the dictionary.  Of course the OED checks on the background of words - did you know that OMG was first used in a letter back in 1917?  OMG!
